City of West Palm Beach
FREE Water Conservation Program
Dear City of West Palm Beach Neighborhood, Home, and Condo Owner's Association Representatives,
The City of West Palm Beach's Public Utilities Department/Office of Sustainability is pleased to extend an invitation to all WPB water customers to participate in a FREE water conservation program focused on assisting residents in reducing their water use and saving money on their water bills!
Program Details:
-
This program is 100% free to all West Palm Beach water utility customers.
-
Funding in part by the City of West Palm Beach along with a grant through South Florida Water Management District.
-
Each dwelling unit is permitted to exchange 1 showerhead, 1 kitchen faucet aerator, and up to 2 bathroom faucet aerators (aerators are located at the very end of the fixture where the water comes out, they unscrew to remove).
-
To receive new fixtures you must exchange your existing fixtures.
As you may have seen in the Palm Beach Post or in your utility bill newsletter our program is in full force and we are encouraging our residents to participate as soon as possible as supplies are limited. You may have already seen us at the Green Market or in the Public Utility Customer Service area in City Hall conducting exchanges. Please also check the sustainability website (www.wpb.org/sustainability/water-sip/) for additional dates and times for exchange opportunities. In addition to the previously mentioned events we would like to offer the following plan to bring the exchange program into your neighborhood, condo, or apartment building.
Community Exchange Plan:
-
What we would like to schedule a date and time for your neighborhood/community to visit at a common meeting area and set up a table where residents can bring their fixtures for exchange.
-
We would ask for your support leading up to our visit to get the word out regarding program details and date/time/location for the exchange.
-
Residents will need to bring either their utility bill or proof of address to verify that they are WPB water customers along with the fixtures they would like to exchange.
-
Residents can bring in any combination of existing aerators along with their primary showerhead.
-
Single-family, condo, and apartment complexes are welcome to participate.
-
We are also working with property managers and their maintenance staff to accommodate apartments and condos to coordinate bulk exchanges.
Please let us know if you or your community would be interested by replying with your contact information or contacting us at (561) 804-4994. We look forward to working you to save water and money!!
Thank you in advance,
Josh Nichols
